LiKe Bikes’ mission is to make the rewarding, healthy activity of cycling accessible to all members of our community and tourists, while educating new cyclists and engaging with sustainable recycling and reuse practices.
ABOUT LIKE BIKES
LiKe Bikes was formed in 2020 in response to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. With our team-building activities at Recalibration Limited on hold due to travel restrictions, we saw an opportunity to repurpose our existing fleet of bikes. Recognising the growing demand for outdoor, healthy activities, we expanded rapidly into bike hire to offer locals and tourists a safe and sustainable way to enjoy exploration, wellness and nature into the future.

OUR TEAM
Our cycling story is lead by founders Andy Smith and Diana Thornton. From Jersey and Ireland respectively, both Andy and Diana are qualified in Business and Management and hold extensive experience in these sectors in private as well as public bodies. Andy also brings his Finance, Administration and Planning skills to the business while Diana oversees People Management, Health and Safety and Operations. LiKe Bikes today is a dynamic team of five and continues to expand annually.

Great service and quality bikes! Having searched multiple bike rentals, LiKe Bikes were the most flexible with times and drop-off/pick-ups. Andy was a delight to deal with and everything was seamless. Booked and paid over the phone the day before and Andy was able to give us an overview of times and recommended a lovely lunch spot. We picked up 5 hybrid adult bikes which came equipped with locks and helmets. We started in Rathkeale at 2pm , where there was free parking and toilets, and set off to Barnagh for lunch. We then went to the Kerry border and back to Abbeyfeale for 6pm. We strolled into town for refreshments and then got the no.13 bus back to Rathkeale. Definitely recommend LiKe Bikes and suggest starting earlier in the day and continuing on to Listowel – we’ll do it next time!

Exceptional! This was our second time using LiKe Bikes and again we were spoiled. Andy and Sean took such great care of us. We were a little late as we were stuck in traffic and a little hassled but there was no stress with the guys, they couldn’t have been more attentive.The bikes were checked and then changed as they weren’t happy with the sizes fitting the kids. Plenty of stock and everything fine in a matter of minutes. Our smallest who is autistic was so well looked after by the guys, absolutely no drama. We got a great run through of where to go with some personal recommendations for food. The greenway is a super family day. We’ll definitely be back!

The bike and equipment were as ordered and well maintained, had no issues with the bike or battery on the return journey from Templeglantine to Listowel. Andy was extremely accommodating, helpful and gave great recommendations, even down to my next bike trip, which is now in the planning – I’ll be back onto you again! Couldn’t recommend LiKe Bikes and the Limerick/Kerry Greenway experience highly enough, well worth the time, money and the cycling effort!
